What Facial Waxing Covers Here

We do facial waxing in a private studio on Westlake in South Lake Union, for women and men. Lip, chin, brows, nostrils, ears, or the whole face. Most facial appointments run fifteen to thirty minutes, which is short enough to fit around a work day.

The face is not one service. It is a handful of small ones, and most clients book two or three together.

Lip and chin. The pair people are most self conscious about and the pair that responds fastest to a regular schedule. Coarse hair on the chin comes back finer after a few appointments.

Brows. Shaped rather than stripped. We talk through the shape before any wax goes on, because a brow decision lasts a lot longer than a lip decision.

Nostrils and ears. Less glamorous, genuinely worth doing, and over in a couple of minutes.

Full face. Everything including brows, for clients who would rather deal with all of it in one appointment than book four separate ones across two months.

Why does at-home removal keep coming back so fast?

Because tweezing, threading with a cheap tool, and depilatory creams either break the hair or take it at the surface. Waxing lifts it from the root, which is the difference between three days of smooth and three weeks of it.

The combo is priced the way it is for a reason. Three separate small appointments cost you more in time than in money, and the skin does better with one settling period instead of three. If you only need the lip, we will tell you that rather than push the package. The rest of the menu sits on our full waxing service menu, with tinting under brow and lash tinting.

The Wax We Use on Faces

Facial skin is thinner than the skin on a leg, and it shows every mistake for longer. That drives what we use.

Most facial appointments run on a soft wax infused with tea tree oil and aloe vera. Tea tree calms the follicle straight after the hair comes out, which is what keeps the small red bumps down. Aloe takes the heat out. It suits every skin type we work on, and clients who react badly to waxing elsewhere usually do fine here.

Hard wax is available on request, and on some faces it is the better call. Coarse chin hair in particular often comes off cleaner with hard wax, and it needs no strip, so nothing drags across the skin around it. Ask when you book and we will have it ready.

Every appointment is handled by licensed technicians in a private room, one client at a time.

Facial Waxing and Your Skincare Routine

Why is this the section we most want you to read?

Because it is where facial waxing goes wrong, and it goes wrong in one predictable, avoidable way.

If you use a retinoid, a prescription acne medication, or regular acid exfoliants, tell us before we start. Those products thin the top layer of skin on purpose. Wax applied over skin in that state lifts skin rather than hair, and the mark it leaves takes weeks rather than days to settle. We will use tweezers instead or reschedule you, and neither of those is us being difficult.

Stop acids and retinoids on the area for about five days before a facial wax, then leave them off for another two days after. If that is not possible, say so and we will work around it.

We will also turn you away if the skin is currently irritated, broken, cut or sunburned. Waxing over any of those makes it worse.

What to Expect Afterwards

Will your face be red afterwards?

A little pink, yes, especially around the lip. It usually settles within an hour or two, longer if you are fair skinned.

For the first 24 to 48 hours:

• Leave makeup off the waxed area for the rest of the day.
• Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga and hard workouts.
• No sun exposure or tanning on the area.
• Do not pick, scrub, or apply anything active.

Facial hair comes back on a faster cycle than body hair, so most clients rebook the lip and chin every two to four weeks rather than the 3 to 5 weeks we suggest for body waxing.

Facial Waxing Questions We Get Asked

How much is facial waxing in Seattle?

An eyebrow wax is $25. The eyebrow, lip and chin combo is $60, and a full face wax including brows is $75.

Will waxing my face make the hair grow back thicker?

No. That is the most persistent myth in this trade. Waxing removes hair from the root, and repeated waxing tends to make regrowth finer and slower over time, not coarser.

Can I get facial waxing if I use retinol or acids?

Not while you are actively using them on the area. Stop about five days before your appointment and leave them off for two days afterwards. If you cannot pause them, tell us and we will tweeze instead.

How long does facial waxing last?

Two to four weeks for most people. Lip and chin hair runs on a faster cycle than body hair, so it comes back sooner than a leg or Brazilian wax.

Do you wax men's faces?

Yes. Every service on our menu is open to anyone who books it, facial work included. Lip, chin, brows, nostrils, ears and full face all sit on the same list at the same prices. Neck waxing is $30 if you want that done at the same appointment.
