What a Brazilian Wax Actually Removes
It does not. A Brazilian wax is mostly about technique and pace, and a technician who is fast is a technician who is hurting you less. We do Brazilians all day, every day, in a private studio in South Lake Union.
What is the difference between a Brazilian and a bikini wax, really?
It comes down to how far it goes.
A Brazilian takes most or all of the hair from front to back. A bikini wax only clears what sits outside the panty line. Neither is more correct than the other. They are different jobs at different prices, and plenty of our clients alternate depending on the month.
The part that matters: a Brazilian here is customizable in the real sense. Leave a strip, leave a triangle, take everything. We ask before we start, because "Brazilian" means something slightly different to almost everyone who books one, and guessing is how a client ends up quietly unhappy on the table.
One more thing worth saying plainly. A Brazilian is not an all-or-nothing decision you are locked into. Clients change their mind between appointments constantly, and that is fine. We ask again every visit rather than assuming last time's answer still stands, which takes about ten seconds and saves a lot of regret.

What It Costs in Seattle
Do we charge more if you happen to have more hair?
No. Our prices are published, and they are the same whatever we find when you get on the table.
- Brazilian Wax, $80, 30 minutes. Front to back, finished to your preference.
- Brazilian Maintenance, $60, 30 minutes. For returning clients rebooking inside the 3 to 5 week window.
- Bikini Wax, $40, 30 minutes. The classic cleanup outside the panty line.
That maintenance price is not a loyalty gimmick. There is genuinely less to remove when you come back on schedule, the appointment runs shorter, and the price follows. Skip three months and you are back to a full Brazilian at full price, which is the whole argument for staying on a cycle.

Why the Second One Hurts Less Than the First
Why does it get easier?
Two reasons, and neither of them is that you toughen up.
First, hair that has been waxed repeatedly grows back finer. A finer hair in a follicle that has already been emptied comes out with less resistance. Second, on a regular 3 to 5 week schedule your hair syncs up. On a first appointment we are pulling hairs at every stage of the growth cycle at once, which is exactly the thing that stings.
Most first timers describe it as sharp rather than bad, and it passes within seconds. By the third or fourth appointment, people stop bracing.
We use a soft wax infused with tea tree oil and aloe vera for most Brazilian appointments. Tea tree settles the follicle straight after the strip. Aloe pulls the heat out of the skin. It suits every skin type we see, and it is the reason clients who react badly elsewhere tend to do fine here. Hard wax is available if you ask, and on some clients it is the better call.
Every appointment is handled by licensed technicians in a private room, one client at a time.
Getting Ready for Your Appointment
Hair length is the thing people get wrong. It needs to be at least a quarter inch, about the length of a grain of rice, and up to half an inch is ideal. Too short and the wax has nothing to grip, so the strip pulls skin instead of hair and the result is patchy.
If you shaved this week, rebook. It is a wasted appointment otherwise.
Before you come in:
- Exfoliate gently 1 to 2 days ahead, not the same morning.
- Skip tanning and sun exposure on the area.
- Do not trim or shave to tidy up first.
- Keep the skin moisturized in the days beforehand.

Clients travel in from Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Downtown and further north, and the appointment is short enough that the drive is still worth it.
Hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Evening slots go first, so book ahead if you need one.

How long does a Brazilian wax take?
Between 15 and 30 minutes depending on hair thickness and how many times you have been waxed before. A first appointment runs closer to 30 because we work slowly and check in as we go.
Do you do Brazilian waxing for men?
Yes. There is one Brazilian on the menu at $80, and Brazilian Maintenance at $60 for anyone rebooking inside the 3 to 5 week window. Same service, same price, whoever is booking it. You book it online like any other appointment.
How often should I come back?
Every 3 to 5 weeks. That is the window where regrowth is long enough to remove properly but short enough that the appointment stays quick and comfortable.
Can I get a Brazilian wax on my period?
Yes, as long as you are wearing a tampon or a cup. It is a completely normal appointment for us and nobody will make it awkward.
